Dramatic Presentations
DVDs sold in this aisle are either Region 1 (United States and Canada) or Region 2 (Europe, the Middle East, and Japan). Audiobooks are either CDs, audiocassettes, or Audible.com downloads (format will be indicated), and unless stated otherwise, are abridged versions of the original stories. For material related to the famous 1939 MGM movie The Wizard of Oz, see Aisle 7.

Disney's Lost Chords by Russell Schroeder. Outside of Broadway, perhaps the greatest champion of American popular music in the twentieth century was Walt Disney. But not every song ever written for him ended up in a movie. For various reasons, songs and entire features were dropped. Here are many of the songs, along with illustrations and background information. Among the cancalled projects featured is The Rainbow Road to Oz, including four songs.

I Love the Illusion: The Life and Career of Agnes Moorehead by Charles Tranberg. Agnes Moorehead had a long and honorable show business career. Although she's best known for playing Endora, Samantha's mother, in Bewitched, she also played several roles in the 1933-34 Wizard of Oz radio show, and Mombi in the 1961 television adaptation of The Land of Oz, which should make this book of interest to Oz fans.

The Wizard of Oz: Vintage Recordings from 1902-1918. Many of the earliest recordings of Oz music, from the 1902 stage version of The Wizard of Oz, are now available on compact disc. These recordings come from early Edison cylinders, 78 rpm records, piano rolls, and even music boxes. As well as songs from The Wizard of Oz, there are also songs from The Woggle-Bug and The Tik-Tok Man of Oz, as well as non-Oz recordings by some of the stars of The Wizard of Oz.
