Return to Oz 40th Anniversary Screening, San Francisco, California

April 9, 2026: Return to Oz 40th Anniversary Screening, The Castro Theatre, San Francisco, California. The legendary San Francisco theater is opening again after renavations, and part of the program will be a rare theatrical screening of the 1985 Disney movie Return to Oz to celebrate it's fortieth anniversary (maybe a few months late). The special guest is director Walter Murch, who will discuss the film and answer questions afterwards. If I Only Had Christmas television movie, The Hallmark Channel. A Hallmark Christmas romance movie, first shown in 2020 and based (extremely loosely) on The Wizard of Oz! Candace Cameron Bure stars as Darcy Gale, a publicist who teams up with Huck, a cynical business owner played by Neil Webb, to help out a charity in need.
