This exhibit focuses on design elements of the famous 1939 film adaptation of The Wizard of Oz. Items on display include replicas of the Ruby Slippers and the Cowardly Lion's "Courage" medal, an early draft script, and a prototype for the Flying Monkey's costumes. The legendary San Francisco theater is opening again after renavations, and part of the program will be a rare theatrical screening of the 1985 Disney movie Return to Oz to celebrate it's fortieth anniversary (maybe a few months late). Candace Cameron Bure stars as Darcy Gale, a publicist who teams up with Huck, a cynical business owner played by Neil Webb, to help out a charity in need.
