'''''The Complete Sheet Music from The Woggle-Bug'', lyrics by L. Frank Baum, music by Frederic Chapin'''. In 1905, L. Frank Baum tried to duplicate the success of his hit stage show ''The Wizard of Oz'' with ''The Woggle-Bug'', a dramatization of his second Oz book, ''The Marvelous Land of Oz''. It "failed to woggle," as one critic put it, and it only ran for a few months in the midwest. But now the sheet music from the show has been collected in this volume. Also included are a reprint of the original program book for the show, contemporary reviews, articles, photographs, an appendix of several songs from Chapin's 1902 hit show ''The Storks'', and a foreword by David Maxine. | |||
