The new animated movie, based on the book Toto: The Dog-Gone Amazing Story of the Wizard of Oz by Michael Morpurgo and Emma Chichester Clark, tells the story of The Wizard of Oz from Toto's perspective. The musical adaptation of Gregory Maguire's novel about the witches of Oz is proving to be too much story for just one movie, so it's been split into two! The first half is coming out for the 2024 holiday season. Keep an eye out for further announcements, including further casting (aside from Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba, Ariana Grande as Galinda, and Jonathan Bailey as Fiyero) and an exact date.
